WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is in the testing phase for a new feature that enables users to log in to their computer using an email address.
This feature will permit users to link their email addresses to the WhatsApp application on both iOS and Android devices. Importantly, the existing method of logging in via a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to the user’s mobile phone will remain operational.
This development is particularly beneficial for users who frequently travel and face challenges logging into WhatsApp when they lack a roaming mobile plan.
To address this issue, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is currently testing a new email login feature. This feature enables users to log in to their computer from anywhere in the world using their email address.
WhatsApp email log-in
The users have to enter and verify their email address in the Meta-run messaging service on WhatsApp’s beta for iOS 2.23.23.77 and Android 2.23.24.10, as an alternative method of logging into their account.
Users are also informed that their email will remain private and will not shown to other users.
