On X, formerly Twitter, Shaheen posted a video of himself bowling in the nets with the caption “Rise Above” accompanied by an eagle emoji.
In the video recently shared, Shaheen Afridi was seen bowling to former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who is preparing for the Pakistan Champions’ semi-final against the West Indies Champions in the ongoing World Championship of Legends.

Sources suggest that the incident occurred at Headingley during Pakistan’s net practice, where Shaheen Afridi and the batting coach had a verbal exchange, allegedly over Shaheen’s persistent no-balls during practice sessions.
Shaheen Afridi expressed his frustration, asking Mohammad Yousuf not to interrupt his bowling practice.
Sources revealed that Shaheen later apologized to the batting coach, and the team management issued a reprimand for his behavior.
The incident was considered a momentary outburst, and after Shaheen Afridi apologized to Mohammad Yousuf, the matter was closed.
Following Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) removed former pacer Wahab Riaz from his role as senior team manager and as a member of the selection committee. Additionally, former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq was dismissed from the PCB selection committee.
