British Airways resumes operation for Pakistan

Karachi, Dec 18, 2018: British Airways has announced officially to resume its flight operations in Pakistan by next year June. The flight service will be started from London to Islamabad, thrice in a week.

British Airways will restart its operations in Pakistan after a gap of 10-year.

The decision was taken due to improved security situation and the demand of the passengers particularly belonging to the two countries, said Robert Williams, Head of Sales for Asia Pacific and the Middle East for British Airways,

However, the present government claims to play an active diplomatic role by its ministers.

On September 22, British Airways suspended all flights to Pakistan indefinitely following the weekend suicide bomb attack on the Marriott hotel in Islamabad.

The attack, which happened on Saturday, killed more than 53 people and injured around 250, including six Britons.

The airline operated six flights a week between London and Islamabad, the Pakistani capital.
