China Cutting Scandal in DHA & Clifton

Karachi, April 8, 2019: The biggest scandal of China cutting in Clifton and Defence, NAB has started investigating land worth billions of rupees, which has been reclaimed from Gizri creek, Malir Nadi, Delta. Canal China Cutting worth billions of rupees reference to file the case in accountability court.

In the scandal, 14 accused including former DG Sindh Building Control Authority Mansoor Qadir Kaka, former interior minister and MPA of Grand Democrats Alliance, have been nominated in reference, more than Rs 650 billion worth of land acquired by China Cutting.

According to details, another scandal of Malir Naddi, Gizri Creek and Data Area’s largest China-cutting has emerged, sources say that NAB Karachi has started investigation against other officials and for report of china cutting and further information NAB write a letter to the Revenue of Sindh.

According to sources, NAB has said that China cutting has been done beside DHA Phase 8, hundreds of acres of land is being used illegally for the residential purposes.

On the other hand, NAB Karachi told Chairman NAB to file a reference against Sindh Building Control Authority Mansoor Qadir Kaka also.

After that NAB headquarters Islamabad has decided that the accused will be filed in the referral court.

The plots are used in wedding halls, shopping malls, hotels and other buildings were constructed on Canal China Cutting. The land of canal was illegally sold into the plots and was sold in billions of rupees.

The KMC, Water Board and Sindh Building Control Authority passed the NOCs and maps for premises, other basic amenities including water, gas power road were also approved. The length of the Canal was 180 feet wide and after china cutting it reduced to 90 feet only.
