Gulf food 2019 an opportunity for Pakistani exhibitors

Dubai, February 17, 2019: World’s most popular “Gulf food 2019” exhibition was kicked off in Dubai World Trade Center on Saturday. This exhibition will be held from 17th to 21st February with an opportunity for the exhibitors to explore new export markets.

This year over 4200 companies relate to beverages, dairy, meat and poultry, pulses, grains and cereals, fats and oils, food and power brands are participating in the exhibition.

Muzzammil R. Chappal, Chairman, Cereal Association of Pakistan and leading Pakistani commodity exporter told thebizupdate.com that a large number of Pakistani companies are also participating in the exhibition to get new orders.

“Pakistani exporters are getting good response and it is being expected that we (Pakistani Traders) may fetch business worth $500 million in the world’s largest food fair”, he added.

He said that these type of exhibition is most important for Pakistan Food Industries and can help to promote Pakistani brands across the world.

Chappal said that there is need to review pulses export policy to allow the export of commodities. This will help to further enhance thr exports and earn more foreign exchange for the country.
