Karachi, April 15, 2021: After trading between a high and a low of 45,447 & 45,174, the KSE100 index closed the session at 45,230, losing 81 points.
Total volume traded for the day was recorded at 348 million shares where top contributors were TELE (8.0 percent), WTL (5.4 percent), HU MILLIONL (-4.3 percent), GGL (-6.7 percent), TRG (-1.0 percent), PRL (-2.0 percent) and NETSOL (-3.8 percent). Volatility remained in the market amid profit taking at the bourse. Large-scale manufacturing (LSM) continued on a positive trajectory in February, with 4.85 percent growth compared to the same month last year.
Cumulatively speaking, 8MFY21 LSM growth now stands at 7.45 percent YoY. We expect the market to remain volatile ahead. We recommend investors to book profits on the higher side and wait for any sharp dips to accumulate value stocks mainly in the Cement and Steel sectors.
