Mass Communication Department organized an interactive session on NASFF22

Karachi, May 30, 2022: An opportunity in the form of a Short Film contest “National Amateur Short Film Festival 2022” (NASFF22) is announced by the collaboration of ISPR and Ministry of Information and Technology, Capt Abdul Qadir from ISPR brief students about the contest in an event held at the department of mass communication, University of Karachi last week.

While briefing the students about the event, Qadir explained the procedure to apply for this opportunity, the theme of the contest is “Ocean to Mountains” in which a contestant can cover anything between ocean to mountain and the last date to apply is 30 May 2022.

The main reason of this contest is to show the world our positive side as it will support the reputation of Pakistan in the western world, which will help to get tourism back in Pakistan.

According to Qadir, “Last year, a total of 1100 students submitted their short film for this program out of which only 15 students were shortlisted, which were later awarded with scholarships to the one of the best film schools in over the world.”

In the end, Dr. Fauzia Naz, in her concluding remarks thanked the ISPR and Ministry of Information and Technology for creating opportunity for the students of Pakistan.
