PCDMA urged Sindh Govt to finalize COVID-19 prevention SOPs

Sindh CM take notice of stoppage of raw material vehicles by police

Karachi, April 13, 2020: Chairman Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association and former director Karachi Stock Exchange Amin Yousuf Balgamwala, has requested the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to finalize SOPs at the earliest so that they could accordingly adopt precautionary measures at their businesses to prevent the spread of covid-19 pandemic and business activities could be resumed.

“Sindh Government has taken good but stringent measures to curb the spread of covid-19 pandemic, but these measures have led to a very serious situation, as closure of industries and markets, trade is also locked down which is also locking down the economy, so Govt should give some relief to commercial importers and allow to do business in banking Hours”, he requested.

In an appeal, Amin Yousuf Balgamwala expressed concerns over the stoppage of vehicles transporting raw material & food chemicals by the police in the backdrop of lockdown. He urged the Chief Minister Sindh and provincial police chief to take notice and issue directives to police not stop vehicles.
