Plane carrying 132 passengers crashes in southern China

Karachi, March 21, 2022: A China Eastern Airline’s aircraft carrying 132 passengers from Kunming to Guangzhou has reportedly crashed. The aircraft involved in the accident was a Boeing 737 and the number of casualties is not yet known, the rescue operations are underway.

According to Chinese media, the crash occurred in SW China’s Guanxi and has reportedly caused a fire in the mountain. The flight-tracking ended at 2:22 pm (0622 GMT) an altitude of 3225 feet with a speed of 376 knots. It had been due to land at 3:05 pm (0705 GMT).

“China’s civil aviation authority says there were 123 people on board with 9 crew members,” Yu said, speaking from Beijing.
