PM meets Cricket Squad for World Cup 2019

Islamabad, April 19, 2019: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday Pakistan’s Cricket squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and discussed the preparations of the world cup.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani, Coach Mickey Arthur, chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and all players of world cup squad were present in the meeting held the PM office. Naeem ul Haque special assistant to the prime minister, Faisal Javed of PTI and others were also present in the meeting.

According to a tweet from Naeem ul Haque, one-hour long lecture by PM Imran Khan to Pakistan cricket team going for World Cup. Excellent discourse on virtually all aspects of cricket and a lively exchange with cricketers.

Pakistan has recently announced its squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be held in England and Wales from May 30.

Pakistan’s world cup 15-member squad includes Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicketkeeper and captain), Abid Ali, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Sohail, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Shoaib Malik. However, Muhammad Amir has been dropped from the squad.
