Special security plan prepared for North Karachi Industrial Area on Eid-ul-Adha

  • Special Police Force formed, internal, external routes to be closed.
  • Freight vehicles will not be allowed out without the permission of NKATI.

Karachi, August 9, 2019: North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI) and Police Department jointly set up a security plan to control robbery and crime incidents during Eid-ul-Adha in the North Karachi Industrial Area.

In which strict measures of security will be put in place, criminals will be monitored. This was decided in a meeting, chaired by Nkati President, Syed Tariq Rashid.

On the direction of SSP Central Arif Aslam Rao, DSP New Karachi, Shakeel Awan, SHO North Karachi Industrial Area, Mohammad Rashid, SHO Gabol Town, Sohail Ahmed, SO New Karachi, Nazir Rajper and SVP Nkati, Azfar Hussain, VP, Faisal Shabu, Nki Chairman Board, Sadiq Muhammad, Chief Crime Monitoring Cell Farooq Khatura, Member Executive Committee, Shehzad Elahi also attended the meeting.

Syed Tariq Rashid, President Nkati said, during Eid ul Fitr, Eid al-Adha and other public holidays, workers return to their homes, While the factories are also closed, the Criminal elements are mobilized and robbery cases increased.

He expressed satisfaction to depute a “Special Police Force” for North Karachi Industrial Area on the request of the Association by SSP Central Arif Aslam Rao, which help to ensure security-proof arrangements.

During the meeting, NKATI and Police officers jointly set up a “Special Security Plan” for the North Karachi Industrial Area and decided that the internal and external routes of the industrial area would be closed on Eid-ul-Adha holidays and besides the patrolling of the police, strict checking will be carried out, while vehicles carrying goods leaving the industrial area will not be allowed without permission of NKATI.

NKATI Leaders appreciated the performance of the police, who arrested members of the gang involved in more than 100 robbery cases.
