A frightening situation arises as COVID19 surges above 20%

Karachi, June 24, 2022: According to official data released on Thursday, the metropolis experienced a COVID-19 positive ratio of over 20% the previous day. The overall caseload across the country only experienced a slight increase.

When 12,513 tests were performed, 268 new cases were reported throughout the nation, raising the positive ratio to 2.14 percent, the highest level since March 2005 when a 2 percent ratio was recorded, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

According to Pakistani statistics, 12513 tests were carried out throughout the course of 24 hours on June 23. 268 of which test positive for Covid, and 104 are recovered. 75 people, sadly, are in critical condition. Additionally, one death attributed to COVID-19 has also been documented.

On the other side, there have been cases in every province, with Sindh having the most (57.576), Punjab having the second-most (507.824), KPK having the most (219,845), Islamabad having the least (35.519), and Baluchistan having the fewest (35.519).
