Total 421 new towns, villages connected to gas network in 2021-22

Karachi, September 20, 2022: Total of 421 new towns and villages were connected to gas network in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Baluchistan in 2021-22.

This was revealed by Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority’s annual report for the said fiscal.

According to details, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) has undertaken an addition of 929 Km in its distribution network in Sindh and Baluchistan and 17 Km in the transmission network in the province of Sindh in the said period.

The company also added 95,436 new consumers to its network in the said period whereas 104 towns and villages were connected to the gas network in Sindh and Baluchistan.

Similarly, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) got an addition of 37 Km in its transmission network in the province of Punjab.

The Company also added a total of 7,141 Km in its distribution network in Punjab and KP provinces.

The company added 371,618 new consumers in its network in the said period whereas 317 new towns and villages were connected to gas network in Punjab and KP.
