Traders be given permission open business under SOP: Hafiz Naeem

Karachi, April 27, 2020: Sindh government should allow traders to resume economic activity in light of April 19, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) meeting held between the parties.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi ameer, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said government did not take any concrete step in this direction while traders have already rejected online trading.

Trade and small business activities are allowed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while economic activity in Sindh is still under lockdown, he added.

Hafiz Naeem demanding ban withdrawal on pillion riding said government should have concentrate to resolve masses’ issues, under lockdown situation.

There is need to dispel police attitude towards people. Major roads are barricaded creating difficulties to commuters. The doctors, paramedics, members of non-governmental organisations, persons on emergency duties and journalists are exempted from lockdown are being stopped by security personnel on different spots, he added.

Most of police deputed in city is not acquainted with temperament and issues of city. Police behaviour towards citizens on most occasions represents their lack of sense dealing with people and thus irritates them.

Pestering two wheelers on one pretext to another is deplorable, Women are allowed as pillion rider but police is still indecent with them. Government should concentrate to solve issues of people under lockdown situation, he added.
