Dawlance Joins Türkiye Republic Day Celebrations, Highlights Strong Pakistan–Türkiye Ties

Dawlance participated in celebrations marking the 103rd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, highlighting the longstanding friendship and strong relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Dawlance CEO Umar Ahsan Khan attended the event, where the company also hosted a dedicated stall for guests. Dawlance, a leading Pakistani home appliances manufacturer, operates as a subsidiary of Türkiye-based Arçelik Group.

The celebrations commemorated the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye on October 29, 1923, when the Turkish Grand National Assembly elected Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as the country’s first president.

Dawlance Showcases Turkish Hospitality

As part of its participation, Dawlance welcomed guests with traditional Turkish coffee, sweets and Turkish delight. The refreshments were prepared using the company’s coffee machine and microwave oven, adding a special touch of Turkish hospitality to the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Dawlance CEO Umar Ahsan Khan said it was an honour to celebrate the historic occasion alongside the Turkish community.

He described Pakistan–Türkiye relations as a partnership built on shared history, faith and mutual trust.

Khan also highlighted Dawlance’s relationship with Arçelik, noting that the partnership brings together Turkish expertise and Pakistani talent. He added that both teams work together to manufacture home appliances in Pakistan for local and international markets.

Türkiye Highlights Enduring Bilateral Relations

Türkiye’s Consul General to Pakistan, Mr Ergül Kodak, also addressed the gathering, describing Republic Day as a symbol of the Turkish nation’s resilience, sovereignty and enduring spirit.

He highlighted the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Türkiye, recalling their cooperation during natural disasters and mutual support on international platforms. He also reaffirmed the importance of maintaining and strengthening the brotherly relationship between the two countries.

Strengthening Business and Cultural Cooperation

Pakistan and Türkiye continue to expand their economic and social ties through investment, business partnerships and knowledge sharing.

Turkish companies have established a growing presence in Pakistan, while both countries’ leaderships have expressed support for stronger industrial and commercial cooperation.

Dawlance’s participation in the Republic Day celebrations reflected its close connection with its Turkish parent company, Arçelik, and its contribution to strengthening business, cultural and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
