Pakistan hosts Multinational Counterterrorism Exercise “Fajar Al Sharq-V”

Rawalpindi, November 27, 2023 : A two-week-long multinational joint counterterrorism exercise, Fajar Al Sharq-V, took place at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi. Special Forces contingents from friendly nations participated in the event.

Fajar Al Sharq-V is a multinational joint exercise in the Counter Terrorism domain involving Special Forces from Pakistan, Bahrain, Iraq, and Kuwait, as per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The exercise focuses on fostering joint employment, interoperability, and leveraging the longstanding military relations among the participating nations. The member countries have shown eagerness to benefit from each other’s expertise.

In October, the armed forces of Pakistan and Malaysia conducted joint military exercises in two stages from October 9 to 22 in Malaysia.

The Bilateral Army Exercise Series between Pakistan and the Malaysian Armed Forces, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), took place from October 9 to October 22 in Malaysia.

The exercise comprised two stages: the Cross Training Exercise and the Field Training Exercise. It has significantly enhanced bilateral relations between the Malaysian and Pakistani Army, fostering a friendly bond among officers and members of both nations through the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and skills.
