On Friday, Azhar Ali, the former top-order batsman of the Pakistan cricket team, posted images from his Umrah pilgrimage on his social media accounts. The pictures captured moments in Makkah and Madina, showcasing Azhar Ali, his father Muhammad Rafiq, wife Naila Azhar, and their three sons Ibtisam, Azan, and Azlan.

Ali extended his prayers for the people of Palestine, expressing, “Lots of Dua’s for Palestinian people who are under illegal occupation for the last 75 years. May Allah bless all of us with peace, Ameen.”

The post garnered thousands of likes from Ali’s social media followers, including members of the cricket fraternity and fellow celebrities. Many extended their heartfelt wishes for Ali and his family in the comments section.

In December of the previous year, Azhar Ali, Pakistan’s top-order batsman and former Test captain, declared his retirement from red-ball cricket. Azhar led Pakistan in nine Tests during two distinct periods from 2016 to 2020.
