Karachi, December 15, 2023 : On Friday, the local market saw a significant surge in the per tola price of 24-karat gold.

Gold prices in the domestic market rose by Rs5,700 per tola, reaching Rs218,300, as reported by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

The cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also surged by Rs4,887, selling at Rs187,157.

Simultaneously, the international market witnessed a $70 increase in gold prices, reaching $2,650, as stated by the Association.

On Wednesday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange initially plummeted by over 1,900 points but later rebounded, ultimately concluding the business day with a loss of over 1,100 points.
