Karachi, January 31, 2024 : Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will resume direct flights between Baku and Karachi as of April 18th , 2024. Operating twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, this direct flight initiative aims to meet the rising demand and heightened interest from Pakistani travelers exploring Azerbaijan.

The introduction of daily flights connecting Baku and Karachi is expected to further boost an increase in arrivals from Pakistan. AZAL already operates flights to two other key cities in Pakistan – Islamabad and Lahore, highlighting the commitment to facilitating seamless travel between two destinations.

With direct flights operating from three major cities in Pakistan, planning your visit to Baku is straightforward. With non-stop flights available, you can reach the largest city in the Caucasus region in approximately 3 hours.

In recent years, Azerbaijan has emerged as a highly sought-after travel destination for tourists from Pakistan, in part due to its convenient flights, easy e-VISA procedures, and reputation as a dynamic cultural and business hub.

Azerbaijan, known for its UNESCO World Heritage sites, invites visitors to explore iconic landmarks such as the Old City of Baku, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape, Sheki Historic Centre, Khinalig village, and the ‘Köç Yolu’ Transhumance Route.
