REAP refutes news of import ban on Pakistani rice by Russia

Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, Chairman REAP and  Mr. Haseeb Ali Khan, SVC REAP apprise that we thoroughly investigate the issue of Russian consignment from Pakistan. There was a minor issue due to long transit time.

The Exporter fulfilled all the protocols during Russian shipment. They also informed that all protocols have been followed, and there is no chance for infestation to survive or be present at load port.

It is also worth mentioning that this was the time when shipments from Pakistan were avoiding the Red Sea channel and taking the alternate shipping route, which was longer. So the goods were shipped on 10 January 2024 and received on 15 March 2024.

They further apprise that the trade with Russia is normal, and there is no news of the ban received from Russian authorities.
