Gold rates witness increase in Pakistan

Islamabad, July 05, 2024 : The rate for one tola of 24-karat gold increased by Rs.1,100, reaching Rs.244,400 on Friday, compared to its previous sale price of Rs.243,300 on the last trading day.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs.944, rising to Rs.209,534 from Rs.208,590, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up to Rs.192,072 from Rs.191,207, as reported by the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

The prices of per tola and ten grams of silver remained constant at Rs.2,850 and Rs.2,443.41, respectively.

The price of gold in the international market increased by $9, reaching $2,364 from $2,355, according to the Association.

On Thursday, the gold price per tola reached Rs.243,300 after a single-day gain of Rs.1,000 in the local market. The 10-gram gold was sold at Rs.208,590 after an increase of Rs.857.

It is noteworthy that in April, gold prices in the local market reached an all-time high of Rs.252,200 per tola.

The fluctuations in gold prices are largely driven by changes in the international market, reflecting the global demand and supply dynamics for the precious metal.
