Islamabad, July 11, 2024: The Pakistan rupee depreciated by 09 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Thursday, closing at Rs 278.60 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.51.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were Rs 279.50 and Rs 281.25 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Euro strengthened by 72 paisa, closing at Rs 302.01 as compared to the previous day’s Rs 301.29, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen maintained its rate at Rs 1.72, while the British Pound saw an increase of Rs 2.17, closing at Rs 358.57 from the previous Rs 356.40.
Additionally, the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal both increased by 03 paisa, closing at Rs 75.85 and Rs 74.28 respectively.
