KARACHI, October 20 2024: Al Baraka Bank Jahangir Khan Squash Championship has entered the final stages. The final matches of various categories will be played on Monday.
According to Naveed Alam, Technical Director of the tournament, Sakhiullah of Punjab defeated Kameel Tariq in a one-sided contest in a one-sided contest in the under-nineteen boys semi-final at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex. Sakhi’s winning scores were eleven five, thirteen eleven and eleven four. In the second semi-final, Shamlan Gul of Punjab outclassed Ibrahim Mohib of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by three to zero. Shamlan emerged victorious with scores of 11-8, 11-7 and 11-8.
Adnan Zaman defeated Abdullah in the Boys Under Seventeen semi-final. While Ubaidullah won against Mubeen Khan. In the under-thirteen quarter-finals, Raed bin Zeeshan defeated Ian Javed two games apiece after an exciting contest. In the under-11 semi-final, national champion Army’s Harmas Ali Raja defeated Sindh’s Fazlur Rahman by 11-1, 11-1 and 11-2 in just fifteen minutes. Anas Rehman defeated Moeed Arsalan by eleven eight, eleven five and eleven seven.
All finals of the event will be played on Monday. Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Bank Muhammad Atif Hanif will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony. The ceremony will be presided over by former world champion Jahangir Khan.
