KARACHI, December 24 2024: The Saylani Welfare International Trust is on the brink of completing its groundbreaking educational project, the Jannat-ul-Siddiq Islamic Center, located in Ahsanabad, Gulshan-e-Maymar. The project, designed to blend traditional Islamic education with cutting-edge modern knowledge, aims to serve as a transformative hub for Muslim scholars and scientists.

A pre-launch event at the center’s proposed library was presided over by Pakistan’s Grand Mufti, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, and Saylani’s founder, Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri. Attendees included prominent religious scholars, administrators, and visionaries who praised the initiative’s forward-thinking mission.

Preparing for the Future with Knowledge and AI

In his keynote address, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman highlighted the importance of preparing Muslims for the technological challenges of the 21st century. He stated:
“Future global conflicts will not involve tanks or battlegrounds but will be fought in space, targeting satellites that are the nervous system of artificial intelligence. Muslims must gear up to face this revolution by integrating AI knowledge with their religious and ethical foundations.”

The Grand Mufti lauded Saylani’s efforts to equip students with expertise in IT and artificial intelligence alongside religious education. He emphasized that centers like Jannat-ul-Siddiq play a pivotal role in addressing both contemporary and spiritual challenges.

Reviving the Tradition of Islamic Scholarship

Saylani’s chairman, Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri, shed light on the Trust’s broader educational vision. Currently, Saylani runs religious schools educating over 30,000 students under 1,000 teachers, offering a curriculum enriched with Arabic, Turkish, and English language courses.

He announced the upcoming launch of the Imam Ahmad Raza University of Emerging Sciences, with campuses at the Islamic Center, behind Malir Court, and in North Karachi. The university seeks to revive the legacy of Muslim scientists by producing professionals capable of making significant contributions to the global scientific community.

Maulana Qadri also emphasized the urgent need for Islamic finance professionals to replace interest-based banking systems. Saylani is already working to train scholars and bankers in this field, contributing to the establishment of a Sharia-compliant economic framework.

A Multi-Purpose Educational Revolution

The Jannat-ul-Siddiq Islamic Center is envisioned as a multi-purpose institution, fostering intellectual and moral excellence. Allama Abdul Nasir emphasized its role in combating contemporary challenges like atheism and producing well-rounded preachers equipped to address global issues.

Muhammad Ashfaq, the project’s visionary, expressed gratitude to Saylani for its unwavering support and commitment, ensuring the initiative’s success from inception to near completion.

As the center nears its official launch, it stands as a beacon of hope for Muslims, merging the timeless wisdom of Islamic teachings with the technological advancements of the modern world.
