Wahdat Poultry Farm Expected to Post Rs117 Million Profit in 1QFY27

Wahdat Poultry Farm Limited (WAHDAT) is expected to report a profit after tax of Rs117 million for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27 (1QFY27), with earnings per share (EPS) projected at Rs0.35, according to a market research estimate.

The company’s net sales, defined in the analysis as total operating income, are projected to reach Rs1.7 billion during the quarter. This measure includes gains from the initial recognition of eggs at fair value and changes in the fair value of biological assets.

Gross Margin Expected to Improve

Wahdat Poultry Farm’s gross profit is estimated at Rs299 million, with a gross margin of 17.2% in 1QFY27.

The projected margin is higher than the 15.1% recorded in FY26 and 14.6% in FY25. The research analysis attributes the expected improvement to the continuation of input-cost relief seen during the previous fiscal year.

Administrative expenses are projected at Rs24 million, equivalent to 1.4% of sales. However, distribution expenses are expected to reach Rs96 million, or 5.5% of sales, amid higher fuel costs.

Operating Profit Expected to Rise

The company’s operating profit is forecast at Rs179 million for the quarter, translating into an operating margin of 10.3%.

This would compare with operating margins of 8.1% in FY26 and 7.3% in FY25, indicating an expected improvement in operating profitability.

Finance costs are projected at Rs26 million, in line with the company’s debt levels. The analysis noted that finance costs declined by 21% year-on-year in FY26, supported by monetary easing and a reduction in overall debt.

Tax Rate Projected at 22%

Wahdat Poultry Farm’s earnings before tax are estimated at Rs150 million for 1QFY27. Applying an effective tax rate of 22%, broadly in line with the 21.9% recorded in FY26, is expected to bring profit after tax to Rs117 million.

The research analysis also noted that the company falls below the Rs500 million threshold for super tax, which it says would therefore not apply under the assessment.

The projected results point to stronger margins and improved operating profitability for Wahdat Poultry Farm in the opening quarter of FY27. However, the figures are estimates and will depend on the company’s actual financial performance.
