Karachi, September 25, 2023: The Indian government on Monday reportedly issued a security clearance- No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Pakistan Cricket Team to participate in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Sources close to the development stated that the Indian High Commission has received the security clearance-NOC and the green shirts will receive their passports with Indian visa stickers tomorrow [Sep 26].The national squad is scheduled to travel to participate in the ICC World Cup 2023 on September 27.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in this development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) penned down a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding the delay in the process of Indian visas for the Pakistan Cricket team.
Sources mentioned that the PCB recorded its protest through a letter to the ICC, expressing its reservations and doubts, while also reminding them about the terms of host members’ agreement.
