Karachi, July 18, 2024: On Thursday, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 7 paisa against the US dollar (USD) in interbank trading, closing at Rs 278.17, up from the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.10.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were Rs 279 and Rs 280.50, respectively.
The euro increased by Rs 1.1, closing at Rs 304.94 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 302.94, as reported by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen gained 2 paisa to close at Rs 1.78, while the British pound rose by 60 paisa, trading at Rs 361.56 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 360.96.
The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal both increased by 2 paisa each, closing at Rs 75.73 and Rs 74.16, respectively.
