Karachi, August 01, 2024: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) appreciated by 0.08 rupees against the US dollar in interbank trading on Thursday, closing at Rs 278.66, up from the previous day’s Rs 278.74.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were Rs 279.3 and Rs 280.5, respectively.
The euro fell by 0.41 rupees, closing at Rs 301.02 compared to the previous day’s Rs 301.43, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen remained steady at Rs 1.85, while the British pound decreased by 1.29 rupees, trading at Rs 356.48 compared to the previous day’s Rs 357.77.
The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal both decreased by 0.2 rupees, closing at Rs 75.86 and Rs 74.27, respectively.
