Karachi, August 01, 2024: The price of per tola gold in Pakistan dropped by Rs 1,000 on Thursday, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Data from the Karachi Sarafa Association indicated that the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 1,000 per tola, settling at Rs 252,500. The price of 10 grams decreased by Rs 857 to stand at Rs 216,478.
The previous day, the price of gold in the local market had increased by Rs 200 per tola.
In the international market, spot gold climbed $26 to reach $2,391.14 per ounce. As of 0956 GMT, spot gold was down 0.7% at $2,432.29 per ounce, after hitting its highest level since July 18 earlier in the session. Prices were just $51 short of the record high of $2,483.60 set on July 17.
U.S. gold futures increased by 0.1% to $2,476.10.
In other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.7% to $28.83, platinum lost 1% to $966.40, and palladium eased 0.4% to $921.97.
