KARACHI, October 29 2024: Pakistani PhD scholar Awais Ahmad has brought pride to his country once again by being ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally in material science and chemistry. This marks the first time a Pakistani has achieved this distinction while pursuing a PhD, and it is his second consecutive year on the list.
In 2021, he received the prestigious Young Scientist Award from the Saudi Chemical Society and is now ranked 10th in the AD SCIENTIFIC Index 2023.
As the youngest scientist in Europe in the field of chemistry, Awais has been invited to speak at over 15 universities in Pakistan. He has published over 150 scientific articles in high-impact journals, with a cumulative impact factor of over 1600, and has edited more than seven international scientific books. Currently, he works as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Lahore. His achievements have earned him national and global recognition.
