Lahore, November 19, 2024: In a significant move towards road safety, PTCL Group, Pakistan’s leading telecommunications provider, has partnered with Atlas Honda Ltd. to launch a bike safe riding training initiative. This collaboration highlights PTCL’s commitment to health, safety, and sustainability, focusing on motorcyclists’ welfare.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Atlas Honda’s Lahore office by Taimoor Khan, Group VP HSE & Sustainability for PTCL & Ufone 4G, and Zafar Iqbal, GM After Sales, Atlas Honda.
Focusing on Safety for PTCL Field Staff
The initiative is centered on a “Training of Trainers” (TOT) program, delivered by certified trainers from Atlas Honda. The program will provide PTCL’s field staff, who depend on motorcycles for daily work, with essential bike-handling skills and advanced road safety protocols.
Key training topics include:
- Safe riding techniques.
- Road safety best practices.
- Advanced handling skills to prevent accidents.
The training aims to foster a culture of safety within PTCL, equipping employees with practical skills and a proactive mindset to minimize on-road risks.
Promoting Employee Well-being and Community Safety
This initiative is a part of PTCL Group’s broader Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy, which seeks to prioritize employee welfare and sustainability. Participants in the TOT program will act as ambassadors of road safety, further spreading awareness and amplifying the impact of this collaboration.
