KARACHI, December 24, 2024: Syngenta Pakistan, a leading agricultural innovation and technology company, has launched an impactful initiative in collaboration with the Government of Sindh. The program aims to empower 15,000 wheat farmers in the province by providing them with free herbicide products, designed to enhance wheat cultivation and maximize yields across 45,000 acres of farmland.
Zeeshan Hasib Baig, Country General Manager of Syngenta Pakistan, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting local farmers and strengthening food security in Pakistan. “We are dedicated to promoting higher productivity and profitability for wheat growers, and this partnership with the Government of Sindh is a key step toward achieving that goal. The herbicide we are providing is a state-of-the-art solution that offers superior weed control, enabling farmers to achieve optimal yields with a single application,” he said.
This initiative aims to reduce weed-related losses, lower farming costs, and ultimately increase wheat production, contributing to food security in Pakistan.
Munir Ahmed Jumani, Director General of Sindh’s Department of Agriculture Extension, lauded Syngenta’s efforts and highlighted the potential of wheat farming in the province. “We are pleased to see Syngenta’s generous contribution.
