Karachi, September 17, 2019: An awards and certificates distribution ceremony on successful implementation and launch of SAP S/4 HANA at Hamdard Laboratories Waqf Pakistan held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at a local hotel on the occasion when Hamdard is celebrating 100 years of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said.
Visualizing the importance, need and opportunities that the world Leading ERP Solution, SAP S/4 HANA offers, Hamdard Pakistan, a global house of herbal medicines and product and a house hold name of Pakistan and the subcontinent, had decided to apply SAP technology and with the help of the implementation partner Wemyt (Pvt) Ltd. and quality assurance partner A.F. Ferguson (PwC Pakistan) successfully implemented the latest Version of SAP S/4 HANA (1809) to reap the benefits of the system and aligned its business processes with the Industry standards.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chairperson, Hamdard Pakistan said that Hamdard had passed its century of services to the society and the mankind and carrying the vision of its founder in Pakistan, Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said to take and blend the best of Traditional and Modern, and handshake between SAP and Hamdard bears witness to that belief as well as action! SAP and Hamdard have one thing in common: Both are improving people’s lives and Hamdard’s field of operation is health – care, education and philanthropy, she added.
She also appreciated M/s Wemyt and PWC for providing the best practices of the corporate world to Hamdard and thanked to all those who burned the midnight oil and put much efforts to make this joint venture a success.
Earlier, Hasnain Eqbal, Director, Information Technology, while appreciating and praising the efforts of the entire team who worked tirelessly for the implementation of SAP S/4 HANA technology at Hamdard Laboratories (WAQF) Pakistan said that we have completed this project with all the challenges and complexities, within a short period of eight and a half months, starting from January 2019 and covered all the Hamdard facilities located across Pakistan.
Irfan Sheikh, Managing Director, Wemyt said that all three organizations i.e. Hamdard Pakistan, A.F. Ferguson & Co., and Wemyt worked together for this project as a family. Working for Hamdard is an honor for us as 100 years of Hakim Mohammed Said carried 100 years of knowledge and we learnt a lot from Hamdard, particularly about Unani Medicine, he added.
Saad Kaliya, Partner, A.F. Ferguson while congratulating Hamdard on SAP GO Live said, a lot of things being happened in Hamdard within a very short span, while the project of this size usually takes more time for which the entire teams are to be praised and appreciated. However, this is just a beginning of a new era and Hamdard will reap the benefits of SAP in the years to come, he added.
