CAA To Inspect Airworthiness of Pakpattan’s Mini Airplane

Lahore, April 5, 2019: Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) showed some respect to the Pakpattan’ resident Muhammad Fayyaz and his innovation as it returned his locally-made mini airplane and announced to inspect the carrier before allowing it to fly.

“A technical team of CAA will inspect the mini airplane to decide if it may be allowed to fly or not”,  an official announcement made by CAA.

The announcement was made on the directives of Secretary Aviation/Director General Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Shahrukh Nusrat.

Secretary Aviation Shahrukh Nusrat said in this regard that the passion and skills of mini airplane maker Muhammad Fayaz is appreciated.  The guidance will be provided to him to achieve more expertise in his field.

He said that under the New Aviation Policy 2019 – which was developed in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan – every effort taken for the promotion of aviation in Pakistan will be encouraged and supported.

He further said that under New Aviation Policy 2019, the Civil Aviation Autority is not only a regulator of aviation industry but also a facilitator to promote the aviation activities in the country.

It may be mentioned that Pakpattan Police had taken into custody a mini airplane when its maker Muhammad Fayyaz attempted to fly it without registering it with any concerned authority.

A team of CAA headed by Deputy Airport Manager of Lahore Airport Nazeer Ahmed Khan got the mini airplane released from Rang Shah Police Station of Pakpattan and handed it over to Muhammad Fayyaz on Thursday evening.
