KARACHI, April 12, 2019: Techtextil & Texprocess Frankfurt exhibition will be held from 14-17 May in Frankfurt, Germany.
According to Euratex and figures released by Messe Frankfurt, Technical textiles account for 27 percent of global textile production and by 2020, the market is expected to grow to USD175 billion, which will be almost double than USD93 billion recorded in the year 2000
Industry 4.0 is the name given to Automation data exchange and at Techtextil you can see how this being implemented in the textile industry. Other topics that will be discussed at Texprocess will be how consumer-driven changes will impact the industry in shorter fashion cycles, sustainability and how the industry needs to move closer to the consumer and combat higher costs and train labor.
Special focus this year will be on Urban Living. According to the United Nations, by 2050, almost 70 percent of all people will live in metropolises and megacities. This poses new challenges – housing, mobility concepts, food supply, and healthcare provisions. This area will focus on how Technical textile can make our daily life easier, better and safer.
The two leading trade fairs recorded over 47,500 visitors from 114 countries and 1,789 exhibitors. In May 2019, Techtextil and Texprocess will be sharing an exhibition hall for the first time. In Hall 4.1, suppliers of technical textiles will be brought together with production lines for the processing of technical textiles.
Wednesday (May 15th) afternoon at the fair will be devoted to the subject of smart textiles and will provide trade visitors with insights into subjects such as textiles in conjunction with the internet of things.
On all four days of the coming Techtextil the Techtextil Forum, featuring talks, discussions and interactive formats, will be offering a new framework for the exchange of information between exhibitors and trade visitors and between researchers, developers, and users, covering every aspect of technical textiles.
