Islamabad, April 30, 2019: World Labour Day will be observed on May 1 (Wednesday) to acknowledge the efforts and sacrifices of the labour community and to raise a collective voice for their rights.
Labour unions throughout the country would organize seminars, rallies and walks where union leaders deliver speeches emphasizing the history of Labor Day and its importance.
Workers and unions arrange street processions to portrays solidarity with workers around the world, a private news channel reported.
Newspapers will publish special supplements on the importance of the day while Radio Pakistan, PTV and other private media channels will broadcast special programs to mark the day.
Walks and special ceremonies will be organized by government and non-governmental labour organizations and unions.
