Karachi, May 29, 2019: Shalimar CC, inspired by brilliant batting by Zaman Attari, Rao Khayyam and fine spin bowling from Zahid Ali, shocked Arham CCD by five wickets to reach the semi-finals of the First Gobi’s paint Ramazan T-20 cricket tournament at the Behria College ground on Tuesday.
Shalimar CC’s success in Quarterfinal was set up by -spinner Zahid Ali who grabbed three wickets for 33 runs in four overs and Shazad Khan 2-20 as Arham CC was set the target of 132-8 in stipulated 20 overs Umair Yousuf top scorer with 39 off 25 balls with five fours and one six, Muhammad Waqas 23 off 25 balls with two fours and Usama butt 23 off 35 with two fours supported to Umair.
Shalimar CC then rode in Zaman Attari’s 45 off 30 balls with four fours and two six, Rao Khayyam contributed 36 off 19 balls with four fours and two six and Arshad Khan 24 off 27 balls to finish their chase in the 16th over.
Usman Shah grabbed 2-16 and Shazaib Bhatti took 2-32.
