Karachi, May 30, 2019: Daraz, Pakistan’s leading online retailer, extends its Asaan Zakat campaign, and continues its commitment to improving the lives of those less privileged by taking multiple initiatives this Ramadan under the umbrella of “Daraz Cares”.
Some of them include Daraz’s Care Boxes, Employee Volunteer Program, and Asaan Zakat along with collection of zakat for different NGOs on Daraz’s platform.
Daraz care boxes include different items in a hamper box for all labor employees. These items include clothes, accessories, and electronics as a Ramadan gift from Daraz to its lesser privileged employees. This initiative is a reflection of the Daraz’s this Ramadan’s agenda of helping those who need support.
Employee Volunteer Program provides an opportunity for the employees of Daraz to serve their community. Daraz employees can sign up and serve to 2 days in a year at a voluntary organization to contribute to society. As part of this, an Iftar dinner was also hosted at Sirat-ul-Jannah orphanage to spend time with the residents.
Daraz also provided a platform to more than 15 NGOs including SIUT, Saylani Welfare, Indus hospital, Al Khidmat, and TCF to collect Ramadan donations in order to facilitate their projects during the holy month of Ramadan.
Previously, Daraz also launched Asaan Zakat which allowed Daraz customers to avail the best possible prices to purchase grocery bundles that they can then donate to charity organizations during the Holy Month. These Ramadan hampers can be delivered to the customers’ doorsteps or directly to one of three different organizations, including the Edhi Foundation and Saylani Welfare, making it the easiest and most convenient way to procure Ramadan hampers.
