Kyrgyzstan, June 13, 2019: Muhammad Aurangzeb, President & CEO HBL attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Interbank Association (SCO-IBA) 15th Annual Council Meeting in Chopon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan on 11 June 2019.
It is a great honour and achievement for HBL to represent Pakistan on the SCO Banking forum, and to be the first and only commercial bank on this forum.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Aurangzeb said “SCO-IBA can enhance sustainable development agenda through collaboration with multilateral institutions, working on unified approaches as a collective forum. These may include promotion of regional trade & investment and exploring new mechanisms to serve trans-national mega projects. As Pakistan’s largest bank, HBL is positioned to play an integral role in promotion of regional trade, investment and finance.”
