Karachi, July 26, 2019: Canada Pakistan Business Council (CPBC) hosted a dinner in the honour of Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Hon. Wendy Gilmour.
At the occasion, Ms Gilmour appreciated the contribution of CPBC for enhancement of trade between Canada & Pakistan.
She said that new post of senior trade commissioner has established in high commission last summer. This will increase the bilateral trade between two sides. Also, this will identify opportunities for export goods services and joint ventures.
She further stated that high commission is trying to create opportunities for youth education, access to jobs and skills.
She clearly mentioned that as a High Commissioner she has no direct role in facilitating visas, temporary and permanent residence.
The event was held in an ambience environment of Heintzman House located in a historical city of Thornhill and attended by President CPBC Samir Dossal, Reza Moridi, Eric Jolliff, Mehboob Shaikh, Javed Mughal and prominent personnel from different walk of life and diverse backgrounds.
