Chambers and Associations of business community supports United Business Group

Karachi, November 26, 2019: Various Chambers and Associations of business community across the country have announced for the support of United Business Group (UBG) for the upcoming election of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) scheduled on 27th of December 2019. 

Office bearers of different Chambers and Associations announced their unconditional support after holding meetings with the candidates and senior leadership of UBG including General Secretary Zubair Tufail and UBG Southern Chairman Khalid Tawab accompanied by Dr. Nauman Idris Butt and Mohammad Hanif Gohar, the candidates for the President and Senior Vice President positions respectively for the FPCCI. 

The Chambers and Associations who announced their support are Pakistan Cotton Fashion Apparel Manufacturers & Exporters Association Karachi, Pakistan Tanners Association Karachi, Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association Karachi, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Association of Builders & Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), Mirpurkhas Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Vehari Chamber of Commerce & Industry Punjab, Swat Chamber of Commerce & Industry KPK, Pakistan Crop Protection Association Multan, Pakistan Hotels Association Karachi, Pakistan Canvas & Tent Manufacturers & Exporters Association Lahore, Rawalpindi Chamber of Small Traders & Industry and Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

In meetings with senior leadership of UBG, the Office bearers of these Associations and Chambers announced their unconditional support and paid tribute to UBG Patron-in-Chief S. M. Muneer and Chairman Iftikhar Malik for their struggle and services to resolve problems of the business community of Pakistan.

They pledged that they would continue to support UBG cause. During these meetings Zubair Tufail, Khalid Tawab and Hanif Gohar said on 27th of December 2019, UBG will once again emerge as successful platform and election campaign for the FPCCI elections is in full swing. Moreover they said the confidence shown by these Associations and Chambers is tantamount to the service UBG has been providing to the business community since its inception.

They said business community of Pakistan is satisfied by the performance of UBG candidates. Meanwhile UBG candidates for upcoming FPCCI election Hanif Gohar, Zubair Baweja, Shoaib Ahmed, Zahid Umer, Tariq Haleem and Javed Khalili met with Chairman Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association Izhar-ul-Haq Qamar and Chairman Air Cargo Agents Association of Pakistan Mohsin A Dharsi and briefed them about UBG manifesto. Both Izhar-ul-Haq Qamar and Mohsin Dharsi not only extended their unconditional support for the candidates but also pledged to participate in election campaign of UBG candidates.
