Karachi, March 19, 2021: Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry has appreciated the expertise and efforts of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission experts and hoped that connectivity of Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Two to the national grid will help to overcome the energy crisis and improve the power supply.
President FBATI Muhammad Ali has congratulated Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Muhammad Naeem and Member Power Saeed-ur-Rehman and his team on the completion of the project and called the project a “Pakistan Day” gift.
He said that cheap electricity from CANP 2 would definitely help in improving the economy of the country. With the launch of Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2, the production capacity of nuclear power plants in the country would be almost doubled, which would alleviate the power shortage to some extent.
President Fabati expressed hope that with the arrival of two more power plants under construction online, Karachi’s industrialists would no longer have to rely on relatively expensive electricity generated from diesel gas and furnace oil.
