Lahore, November 04, 2023 : Punjabi flour mill owners announced on Saturday that they would be raising flour prices in the province due to an increase in wheat prices.
The owners of Punjab Flour Mills announced the decision, stating that a 20-kilogram flour bag would now cost Rs 2750 instead of Rs 2650, an increase of Rs 100.
The owners of the flour mills claimed that because the provincial government was unable to provide wheat to the mills, the market price of wheat in Punjab increased from Rs 4300 to Rs 4700.
The owners of flour mills also complain that the situation has gotten worse because the government hasn’t released an official notice establishing the price range at Rs 3500 to Rs 3900.
