Karachi, November 10, 2023 : Safoora Town area, a young online taxi driver was reportedly fatally shot by unidentified assailants.
The police discovered his body near Safoora Chowk. Initial police investigations revealed that the driver, identified as Shahzeb, was en route from Hyderabad to Karachi. His body, riddled with bullets, was found in the vicinity of Safoora Chowk in Karachi.
The police mentioned that the deceased’s father deactivated the car’s tracker upon discovering that his mobile phone was turned off.
Riyaz Ansari, Shahzeb’s father, shared with the media, “We reside in Hyderabad. Shahzeb booked a ride from Hyderabad to Korangi and subsequently took a second ride from Gulzar Hijri.”
Ansari explained that he tracked the vehicle using the tracker, and it was located in the Sachal area. Upon stopping the vehicle with the tracker, he promptly notified the police.
The deceased, who had been married for a year and a half and has a son, had no known conflicts with anyone, according to his father. The police stated that further investigations are currently in progress.
