Umarkot, November 26, 2023 : A woman lost her life, and two others were injured when thunder struck in the vicinity during a rainfall.
The initial winter rain in Mahendre Jo Par in Thar brought a fatal lightning strike, claiming the life of a woman and injuring two others. On Saturday night, various districts in lower Sindh and the desert region experienced rainfall.
Jamshoro town and its vicinity witnessed scattered rain, leading to a decline in temperatures. Sanghar district, encompassing towns like Shahpur Chakar, Shahdadpur, Khipro, Tando Adam, and others, also reported rainfall.
The electric supply was disrupted in numerous areas, causing widespread power outages. Additionally, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, and the surrounding areas received rainfall.
On Saturday night, various areas in Karachi experienced rainfall, with Korangi recording the highest precipitation.
Gwadar and its surroundings were drenched in the first winter rain spell yesterday. The Turbat and Kech districts in Balochistan received intermittent heavy rainfall, aligning with the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s predictions of downpours in western and southwestern Balochistan.
