Lahore, November 27, 2023 : A robbery was reported in Lahore’s Green Town area, involving the theft of 70 tola of gold from a woman.
According to police authorities, a woman fell victim to a robbery in Lahore’s Green Town area after withdrawing her jewelry from the bank’s locker. The perpetrators not only looted her but also subjected her to violence, resulting in injuries.
In a similar incident last month, a robbery was reported in the New Karachi Sector 5C-2 area, where the criminals purportedly made off with cash and gold valued at millions.
As per the police statement, the burglars allegedly entered the store by breaking its locks and stole cash and gold amounting to millions.
The perpetrators successfully fled with a significant amount of Rs 500,000 in cash and 187.5g [15 tolas] of gold before hastily leaving the premises.
The Karachi police summoned the crime scene unit to assist in the investigation, collecting vital evidence from the site.
In a similar incident last February, two armed robbers made off with Rs 5 million in cash and gold from a jewelry store in Karachi’s Clifton area.
In the Zamzama Clifton neighborhood, an incident unfolded where two armed robbers robbed a jewelry store of Rs 5 million in cash and gold.
According to a statement from the shop owner, the armed robbers forcibly entered the shop, brandishing firearms, and proceeded to loot cash, jewelry, and other valuable items.
