Okara, November 29, 2023 : Two female students lost their lives, and eight others sustained injuries in a collision between an overspeeding trailer and a school van in the Renala Khurd area of Okara.
A tragic collision occurred near the Shergarh bypass on the Renala Khurd National Highway in Okara District, involving a trailer and a school van. Two female students lost their lives, and eight others, including the driver, were injured.
According to rescue officials, the overspeeding trailer collided with the student-carrying van, leading to the fatalities.
Rescue officials and Motorway police are currently transporting the injured students to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for essential medical care. The local police have taken custody of the trailer, but the driver of the trailer has managed to escape from the scene.
According to police officials, the pilgrims were returning from a visit to the holy tomb when the accident occurred. The authorities attribute the incident to over-speeding, and all the injured individuals are reported to be from Karachi.
