Islamabad residents, in particular, are compelled to purchase sugar at the highest price in the country, with the sweetener being sold at Rs100 per kg, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

Uniformly elevated prices, with marginal deviations, were observed in Karachi, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and various other regions of the country. Sugar was priced at Rs90 per kg in cities such as Lahore, Bahawalpur, Larkana, and Quetta.
