Mitchell Johnson made critical comments about Indian cricketer Virat Kohli following his recent dig at Australian player David Warner.
Mitchell Johnson, who secured 590 wickets for Australia in 257 matches, criticized David Warner for his role in the 2018 ball-tampering scandal and objected to a farewell series in his honor. Johnson argued that Warner did not take responsibility for the ball-tampering incident, and his farewell was marked by arrogance and disrespect towards the country.
He questioned the justification for giving a hero’s send-off to a player involved in one of the most significant scandals in Australian cricket history.
Furthermore, Mitchell Johnson asserted that David Warner was not fit to be Australia’s Test captain and never deserved such a position. He emphasized that Warner concludes his career under a lifetime leadership ban.

A few days after directing comments at his former teammate, the 42-year-old shifted his criticism to prolific Indian batter Virat Kohli on social media.
Responding to a fan’s comment on Instagram that labeled Mitchell Johnson as Virat Kohli’s favorite bowler, he retorted, “He was my easiest to get out.”
His commentary extended further as he took another dig at the Indian cricketer in a separate Instagram post.

When a fan inquired about whether Babar Azam or Virat Kohli was the superior batter, Mitchell Johnson responded by stating that both are exceptional players in their own regard.
It’s worth noting that Mitchell Johnson had dismissed Virat Kohli four times in his career, with three of those instances occurring in Test cricket. The left-arm quick managed to dismiss the right-handed batter in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 semifinal.
