Karachi, December 07, 2023 : MQM-Pakistan Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui criticized the city administration and PPP for their 15-year track record following the Arshi Mall fire that claimed five lives in Karachi.
In a press conference, MQM-P senior leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted the RJ Mall fire that claimed 11 lives and the recent Arshi Mall fire, which resulted in five casualties.

He queried the Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh about the delayed response of authorities and rescue teams, holding them responsible for the loss of innocent lives in Karachi.
Expressing outrage, the MQM-P leader stated, “Over the last 15 years, the metropolitan city has transformed into a jungle. Even a jungle has some rules, but Karachi lacks law and order.”
He cautioned the administration that MQM-P has the capability to govern the city according to its own rules, stating that “all the scales of patience have reached their limit.” Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasized the need to hold the Sindh government accountable for the past 15 years.
After the press conference, sources revealed that the MQM-P leader contacted the Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh to discuss the situation of residents and shopkeepers in the Arshi building.
During the conversation, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui expressed dissatisfaction with the caretaker government’s handling of the fire incident, demanding relief assistance for those affected.
